The 1940's night at the Royal British Legion Club has been moved to Friday 14th November, and the The Jive Aces event in Paignton (formerly 15th November) has also been postponed.

We'll be teaching a Swing-themed jive lesson to fit in with Remembrance Day. 7:30pm until midnight with the lesson and a demo around 8:30. There's also some 1940's style food to try and all for the bargain price of £3.50! Would be great to see you there! www.plymouthjive.co.uk

Sunday 30th November 2008: Carlton Big Band in Plympton

Saturday 13th December 2008: Mad About Swing's Christmas Bash
A swingin' festive dance with the return of awesome live music from the highly talented Jaspers Jazz Septet. The evening begins with a jolly merry class to get you in the mood, followed by social dancing to the best lindy tunes from past and present. Your alcoholic and soft drinks are included in the price (while they last... although we don't intend for them to run out!) Don your glad rags and join the party. £10 in advance (students £8) or £12 on the door (students £10). Doors open at 7.30 with the class beginning punctually at 8pm. Finish time to be confirmed.

13th – 16th February 2009: Good Night Sweetheart Weekend in Hertfordshire
One of the biggest swing camps in the UK. A weekend of workshops, bags of social dancing to live bands and the best DJs. Free lunch, dinner and drinks (the food is always fantastic!), 20 International teachers, 350 international dancers, 1940’s Valentines Ball. The weekend is set in the beautiful grounds of Haileybury College which is lovely. Book this month for the earlybird price and all of your food included at no extra charge. 24th - 26th April 2009: London Lindy Exchange
A weekend-long party all about dancing and in particular Lindy Hop. Being an Exchange means LLX is a purely social event, with no workshops or teaching. 12th – 15th June 2009: Rock Bottoms Weekend in Torquay
The best value swing weekend in the country. A whole weekend of lindy hop lessons (from national and international teachers), taster classes in other dance forms, teacher demonstrations/cabaret and dancing 'til dawn (if you so desire!). Hotel accommodation, 3 all-you-can-eat breakfasts and 3 waiter-served dinners all included in the bargain price of £179 per person.
