The makers of The Speakeasy present...
The Cotton Club

Dating back to the same era as Speakeasies, during the prohibition era, The Cotton Club was a trendy, yet villainous, nightclub located in the popular Harlem district of New York City. The infamous club featured the very best jazz and swing acts of all time but also commissioned top billing dancers and other entertainers. With a similar format to The Speakeasy, our Cotton Club will be another opportunity to dress up in your vintage finery and experience the frivolous jazz-fuelled lifestyle of the 1920's and 1930's. The main difference will be the addition of a half-hour cabaret slot mid-evening where you'll experience a variety of Lindy Hop performances alongside showcases from other dance genres such as tap, ballroom and flamenco. What's not to like?
We're thrilled to announce that The Sultans will be our Cotton Club band for the evening. The Sultans are a 6-piece phenomenon who never fail to fill the dance floor. Alongside a few contemporary numbers, they play a refreshing variety of Lindy classics, incorporating Jump Jive, Smooth Jazz, Big Band greats and Rock 'n' Roll. You're going to love them!
Please note the following:
- Black Tie/Vintage Attire is compulsory to create a vintage atmosphere.
- There will be a fully-licensed bar. Therefore, the provision of your own food and drinks is strictly forbidden.

Ticket prices
- £15 early bird rate (payment by 12th April 2018)
- £17 advanced rate (payment by 3rd May 2018)
- £21 full price (thereafter)

Venue
The Cotton Club, The Watermark, Erme Court, Leonards Road, Ivybridge PL21 0SZ. There is no charge for the venue's car park after 6pm.
